We stay at the Desmond because of its location. It is an easy drive from Boston and it is located just off the interstate. It is in close proximity to Wolf Road, a major shopping area, and it is an easy drive to downtown Albany. If you have business with the State, you are near the State capitol.
The restaurant manager was extremely considerate Fri pm and took back my filet mignon which was overcooked. The quality of the second steak was not very good. The steak was quite dry and my guess it was frozen, not fresh. The room was cool and quiet, very comfortable.
no king size bed as reseved
Simpsons...our attendance at two philadelphia orchconcerts the trak...the pools and workout room
All was lovely and I hope to be back fro some r & r in the fall.....looking for specials whenever u care to send them..thank you
coming fron NY =,we wanted to cut the road to Montreal. We had a real problem to notice the entry of the hotel and to turrn left with card coming full speed behind us. We could have been killed. We almost took the road after the bridge, No cars wanted to stop to let us get into your drive way, There is a need for lights or stop, especeilly at 17h. Because of that, we will look on the eats side, next time. Sorry
Making my room reservation was difficult. For some reason, when I initially called, I was told that no rooms were available, even though this was a business conference, the conference had reserved a block of rooms, I was calling long before the deadline and there were, in fact, available rooms. I later called the same number and was able to book a room. Others in my company had similar problems. It seems as if someone on the staff didn't feel like going to the trouble of making room reservations.
This was our third stay. We wanted to repeat our previous experiences. The Desmond facility is a welcome change from the sameness of the chain hotels, including the decor and the food. My wife had her first night sleeping in a canopy bed. We were happy to not have to leave the hotel to find quality meals.
This is my 7th stay.. It is a terific one of a Kind hotel. Love the canopy bed and hotel set up. Great restaurants and classy place to stay.
The location was convenient. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room service was prompt and very tasty but was relatively inexpensive compared to other hotels at which I have stayed.
The only downside was the room faced a courtyard and some of the guests were very loud late at night and early in the morning. It would have been nice if the windows buffered more of the noise.
Their staff was friendly and accommodating, and it made my stay very relaxing
Close to Airport. Came in late at night while traveling across country with my 7 year old granddaughter. Van from hotel picked us up very quickly and helped us to our room. Comfortable accommodations.
Our room was very cold, despite the thermostat reading. I did not complain, unfortunately, until morning, atwhich point it was fixed immediately.
The rooms were decorated nice with canopy beds giving you a feeling of home. New flat screen HD tv.
Noise level from other guests. Slamming of the heavy doors. Small elevators when trying to maneuver suitcases.
We have been ther numerous times. We love the service, the decor, the restaurants and it is close to our family when we visit.
The front desk clerk was very efficient ,polite bad helpful..
The hotel desperately needs updating. Very old outdated look and feeling. The carpeting is very dirty in places in the hotel. ......Especially in the elevator The hallways are very dark. Not well lit at all... Our room was very noisy as there was a wedding underneath us and even the rolling carts in preparation for the wedding were Very disturbing. (The man at the front desk offered to move us but we were preparing to go out for a wedding.) Overall it was a convenient stay....but I am not anxious to return.
I loved the location to the airport and this was my first stay ever. Really liked the layout of the hotel and the front staff were excellent. Thanks
It was a beautiful sunny day and we had to have a drink and a bite in the cold, dark lounge. Why not put a patio bar on the side of the building and take away some of that over extended parking lot? Went across the street to the bistro to enjoy the sunshine. Went to the pool area and thought there was to be an outside pool as advertised on the internet when you read the details of the hotel. Seen the outside tanning area with the two loungers and the harmony of the traffic. Thanks
